Connect Grok to StackTether

Short answer: on grok.com, open Connectors (grok.com/connectors), add a custom connector with the address https://app.stacktether.com/api/mcp, then sign in to StackTether with 2FA and click Approve. Your MSP's admin must switch on Grok (xAI) under AI access; it is off for every MSP until an admin turns it on.

What you need

• A paid Grok plan with connectors.
• Grok (xAI) switched on for your MSP.
• Vendor access to a PSA connection in StackTether.

Steps

1. Copy the Connector address from Connect your AI app on StackTether's Home.
2. On grok.com, open Connectors.
3. Add a custom connector and paste the address. Grok registers itself with StackTether.
4. Sign in to StackTether with your password and 2FA code on the page that opens.
5. On Connect Grok (xAI) to StackTether?, check that Sends you back to shows grok.com, then click Approve.
6. Ask a PSA question in Grok with the connector enabled.

Check it worked

Account lists Grok (xAI) under Your connected AI apps.

Known limits

• xAI does not publish the network addresses Grok calls from, so its calls are not limited by network. The audit log, call budgets and unusual-activity checks still apply.
• The approval lasts 30 days.

Disconnecting

Remove the connector on grok.com. An admin can also click Disconnect under AI access.
