Connect Copilot Studio to StackTether

Short answer: in Copilot Studio, add an existing MCP server to your agent, paste https://app.stacktether.com/api/mcp and, for authentication, choose OAuth 2.0, Dynamic discovery. Users then sign in to StackTether with 2FA and click Approve. Your MSP's admin must switch on Copilot Studio under AI access.

What you need

  • A Copilot Studio licence and an environment whose data policies allow custom connectors.
  • Copilot Studio switched on for your MSP in StackTether.

Steps

  1. Open your agent in Copilot Studio and add a tool: an existing MCP server.
  2. Paste the connector address.
  3. For authentication choose OAuth 2.0 with Dynamic discovery. You do not type a client ID; Copilot Studio registers itself.
  4. Create the connection. A StackTether page opens: sign in with password and 2FA and click Approve on Connect Copilot Studio to StackTether?.

Known limits

  • Copilot Studio calls come from Microsoft's shared connector infrastructure, so they are not limited by network.
  • Approvals last 30 days.
